Five years after Meghan Markle was accused of bullying, new allegations of unkind behavior are coming to the surface.

Journalist Richard Eden shared on the Daily Mail‘s Palace Confidential Instagram that the Duchess of Sussex, 45, was once allegedly rude to a person interviewing for a job before she and husband Prince Harry moved to California.

“There’s a very telling moment about Meghan Markle that I just can’t stop thinking about,” Eden, who often reports on the royal family, said.

The journalist referenced a profile by Sarah Vine, who also writes for the Mail, in which the author claimed the mother of two was incredibly dismissive.

“A young woman had come for an interview for a job, and Meghan was there, ready to interview her,” Eden explained. “The woman was very nervous, as you’d imagine anyone is for an interview.”

“She came in, and Meghan apparently just looked down, carried on looking at her papers, and this lasted for minutes,” Eden claimed. “It certainly felt like five minutes, and then Meghan eventually just looked up and said to this young woman, ‘You can leave.’ That was it! That was the whole job interview.”

Calling the alleged ordeal “shocking,” Eden said it “ties in with so many things that I’ve heard about Meghan’s time in the palace and those bullying allegations.”

Though the former Suits actress denied allegations of bullying when they were first made in 2021 by her former communications secretary, Buckingham Palace opened an investigation into the claims.

“We never heard the outcome of that investigation — it was never made public,” Eden pointed out. “And I think Harry and Meghan should call publicly for it to be released, so that it won’t be held against them.”

Meghan has once again denied the latest bullying claims.

In a statement to News.com.au, a spokesperson for the Sussexes said, “Sarah Vine’s extraordinary ability to recall, in remarkable detail, the specifics of an event said to have taken place more than a decade ago is matched only by her extraordinary decision to have kept this supposedly newsworthy account to herself until now.”
