As inflation stubbornly refuses to come down and Americans express their displeasure with soaring gas and grocery prices, the first lady decided to share on both her personal and official FLOTUS accounts on X a short video showing the opulent preparations for the upcoming White House state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“Every detail considered,” said the post accompanying the largely black-and-white, nine-second clip, which showed just some of the lavish decor.

“An experience thoughtfully conceived and exquisitely realized for our distinguished guests,” it added.
