Cristiano Ronaldo wears matching rings with Georgina Rodriguez hours before ‘wedding’
If Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez do marry in Portugal this weekend as rumoured, lugging their hefty diamond rings down the aisle might prove to be a problem.
Speculation has been abuzz that Portugal’s power couple will marry after a near 10-year relationship, only fuelled by Ronaldo, 42, and Georgina, 32, dropping some not-so-subtle hints about their big day.

However, the pair seem to be enjoying themselves on a family holiday in Mallorca, likely debunking any signs of a marriage taking place in the coming days.
In her latest Instagram post, former retail assistant Georgina captured the family’s trip, including their journey on Ronaldo’s private jet, which comes adorned with his CR7 logo on the interior, of course.
Alongside a photo of the couple and their children walking up to the black aircraft, an inside shot sees Georgina holding Ronaldo’s left hand with them both wearing matching diamond rings. Georgina’s incredibly large engagement ring is already well-documented, but her footballer fiancé’s new piece of bling only contributed to the claims that they are set to get married on Saturday.
The rumours were sparked after Portuguese TV show V+ Fama aired what was claimed to be the couple’s wedding invite. It listed the nuptials as taking place at Quinta de Regaleira in Sintra, Portugal, at 5pm on August 1 and asked guests to adhere to a black dress code.
Something seems amiss, though, as it’s believed that the venue will remain open to the public this weekend, signalling the invite being false, and Spanish publication Hola! has confirmed they indeed will not be tying the knot imminently.
The couple may be in the process of planning their big Portuguese wedding as Ronaldo previously told Piers Morgan that he wanted to make it official with Georgina after the World Cup.
‘I hope to arrive at my wedding with the champion’s trophy,’ he said.
Unfortunately, Portugal crashed out of the tournament in the round of 16 earlier this month, so Ronaldo won’t be carrying the trophy down the aisle as intended.
Speaking of his longtime love – Georgina, not football – the sports icon added: ‘I’m going to marry her because I believe it’s the right time. Not just because she’s the mother of my children — but because she’s the person I love most.’
The lovebirds began dating in 2016 after meeting when Ronaldo visited the Gucci store in Madrid where Georgina, who is Argentinian-born and Spanish-raised, worked as a sales assistant.
They’ve since gone on to expand their family; Cristiano is a father to son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, 16, and twins Eva and Mateo, nine, while Georgina is mother to their daughters Alana, eight, and Bella, four, and considers all of Ronaldo’s children her own. Bella did have a twin brother, Angel, but he died during childbirth in 2022.
Ronaldo and Georgina got engaged in 2025 after he popped the question and presented her with the mother of all engagement rings, believed to be as much as 35 carats.
