Trump makes bizarre comment when asked which countries are involved in beef deal
Donald Trump made an utterly baffling comment when asked for more details on plans to cut tariffs on beef imports. Posting on his Truth Social platform on Friday, Trump revealed the US would permit an additional 300,000 metric tons of ground beef to be imported without extra tariffs being levied on suppliers.

The President asserted the agreement would “substantially lower the price of ground beef for working American families.” It comes after a lip reader exposed Trump’s blunt comment to Karoline Leavitt after her shock resignation.
Trump said: “As everyone knows, under President Biden, beef prices soared at their fastest rate and the American beef herd fell to its smallest size in modern history.
“As we work to rebuild this herd and help our ranchers, for the next 90 days, the United States will allow up to 300,000 metric tons of product for ground beef to be imported with no out-of-quota tariff. We have a commitment that this beef will be sold at 25 per cent below current market prices.

However, when pressed for additional details ahead of a trip to South Carolina to rally for Sen Darline Graham, Trump refused to reveal which nations are participating in the agreement. A clip posted on X, formerly Twitter, shows the president on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, reports the Mirror US.
A reporter can be heard asking: “On that beef deal, which countries did you make that deal with?” Trump cuts her off, asking: “Which deal?”, to which she responds: “The beef deal.”
Responding, Trump says: “I don’t want to say which countries, but there are a few countries, but they’re going to be sending in the highest quality beef, and it’s something that we need.”
Users on X were left puzzled by the remark. One said: “Why? If this is so great why wouldn’t you want to say?”
Another wrote: “He don’t want to say? We don’t have a right to know where a supply of beef is coming in our country is coming from?”
And someone else said: “In other words he has no clue what they’re talking about. Seriously we need to get rid of him NOW!!!”
A different user wrote: “The administration of transparency… sure.”
Others stated they would refuse to purchase the discounted meat without knowing its origin. One said: “If Trump made some backroom deal for beef, I wouldn’t eat it if my life depended on it. Though if I ate it, that may be the end of me anyway.”
Another said: “Yeah. Hard pass for me. Buy local, folks. Know where your beef comes from.”
In a statement issued to CNN, a White House spokesperson declared: “President Trump has repeatedly affirmed his support for America’s ranchers and farmers, including in today’s announcement. While the Administration will be easing tariffs on beef imports to address a short-term supply crunch, the Administration is simultaneously working closely with ranchers to grow America’s cattle-herd size, which is currently at a multi-decade low.”
Meanwhile, Trump’s ‘rotting hand’ was exposed in a strange new picture and sparked fresh health panic.
