OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney has reached a plea deal in connection with the 2022 killing of her boyfriend Christian Obumseli.

Clenney’s court docket in Miami-Dade County, Fla., shows she is set to appear before Judge Andrea Ricker Wolfson on Aug. 10 for a plea hearing. Her lawyer, Sabrina Puglisi, said in a statement to PEOPLE that Clenney had reached a plea agreement but declined to elaborate further ahead of the hearing.

Charged with second-degree murder, it was not immediately clear if she is going to plead to lesser charges or what her ultimate penalty may be. The impending plea was first reported Friday by TMZ.

Authorities found Obumseli fatally stabbed inside the couple’s Miami condo on April 3, 2022 — one day after Clenney, now 30, told police she wanted to break up with Obumseli and kick him out of the apartment, PEOPLE previously reported.

Clenney, an OnlyFans model and social media influencer with 1.7 million followers on Instagram at the time, was arrested on second-degree murder charges four months later at a rehab facility in Hawaii. She pleaded not guilty and has been in custody ever since.

She claimed the killing was done in self-defense and her legal team was seeking to introduce exhibits at trial they said proved Obumseli was abusive towards her — something Obumseli’s family denied.

The case had been scheduled to go to trial in a few weeks.
