The content creator shared the moment she saw a friend pour a powdered substance into her drink when he thought she wasn’t looking

Morgan Riddle claimed a friend attempted to drug her years ago by pouring a powdered substance into her drink when he thought she wasn’t looking.

In an Aug. 9 TikTok video, Riddle, 29, opened up about the experience, which she claimed happened with someone she considered to be a “close friend.”

“It was late, we were drinking on a balcony, he went inside to grab more drinks and I watched through the window as he poured a powder into my drink,” Riddle recalled, adding that the moment felt like a “shocking betrayal.”

Despite the initial shock, Riddle said she did one thing that she would “desperately” urge other women to do if they ever found themselves in similarly unsafe situations. She then showed a screenshot of an email that she sent herself the following morning after the incident occurred.

“I am writing this to myself in case it will ever come of use to me or another woman in the future,” Riddle wrote at the beginning of the email, which was dated from 2017. The email included details of the incident, including that the friend had been asking uncomfortable sexual questions and generally making the influencer feel unsafe.

She went on to explain why she had sent herself the email. “Men who do these things do not do it once,” she began. “We know most cases don’t get reported and I think we can all understand why.”

She went on to explain that sending that email was a form of “contemporaneous documentation.”

“If something or rather someone becomes a case down the line, charges are filed, restraining order, civil suit by someone else, a detailed record written at the time of the incident supports your credibility and hers because it’s proof that it wasn’t a claim filed in response to an already publicized legal process, which unfortunately is why so many women are discredited in these multi-plaintiff cases.”

“I obviously pray I never need it, but if I do, it’s there, dated, detailed, and true from the day it happened, not years later when someone asked me to prove it,” she said. “Anyways, do what you can to protect yourself and other women because these men are not going to.”

Online, Riddle has been vocal about her support for women’s safety and has frequently opened up about her own experiences in an effort to raise awareness.

She once spoke out about another terrifying experience on her Instagram Stories, recounting the time she was almost kidnapped while in Acapulco for her ex-boyfriend Taylor Fritz’s tennis tournament.

“Attempted kidnapping in Acapulco last year (by the man standing behind the tree)… he & another guy tried to grab me and chased me down the beach and i had to sprint and scream for help from the security guards at the hotel,” she wrote over a video of the scene that she posted to her Instagram Stories in March 2025.

She concluded her Instagram Stories, which featured other travel horror stories like the time that she was electrocuted and the time her AirBNB in Santorini was broken into, with text that read, “Moral of the story travel is fun but stay vigilant ladies.”
