Wizards of the Coast has confirmed more delays coming to Magic: The Gathering‘s upcoming Reality Fracture expansion, affecting a multitude of products. The company previously confirmed that booster boxes of Magic: The Gathering‘s next set may be delayed.

Reality Fracture is set to be one of the biggest Magic: The Gathering sets of the year, with major implications for both the story and gameplay. The story of Reality Fracture will conclude the arc that began with the release of Wilds of Eldraine in 2023, centering on the alternate Echoverse created by Jace in the aftermath of the Phyrexian invasion. The set will introduce a new mechanic to Magic: The Gathering with the debut of Empower, which allows players to create Jace planeswalker tokens and put counters on them. Now, some fans may be waiting even longer to get their hands on Magic‘s exciting new set.

Wizards of the Coast has even confirmed partial delays for some new products not directly connected to Reality Fracture, with the new Foundations Commander Decks affected in some regions.The newest round of delays affecting the beloved trading card game follows similar news about one of Reality Fracture’s core products. Wizards of the Coast confirmed in late August that Play Booster boxes of Reality Fracture have been hit with delays, likely being available in limited quantities in North America following the set’s full release. The company previously shared that Pre-Release Packs for Reality Fracture will not be affected by the delays, though Play Boosters may still be harder to buy during the set’s pre-release period.Reality Fracture will serve as the final in-universe set of a big year for Magic: The Gathering. Wizards of the Coast has previously released two core sets within the Magic multiverse in 2026, returning to fan-favorite settings Lorwyn and Strixhaven throughout the year.
