Arch Manning’s former Texas roommate mocked for leading Oklahoma celebrations

The Red River Rivalry took on a new meaning this season for Parker Livingstone, who crossed one side of the Texas-Oklahoma border to the other.

Livingstone, a sophomore wide receiver, spent last season as the roommate and teammate of Texas quarterback Arch Manning.

But in the offseason, he transferred to Oklahoma and was wearing crimson in Dallas for the latest edition of the heated contest.

In a stunning comeback, Oklahoma upset the No. 1 Longhorns 27-24 with a late field goal from kicker Tate Sandell.

Livingstone may not have registered a single catch on the day, but he was as eager to celebrate as anyone after the win and was seen conducting the Sooners’ band in victory.

However, the internet mocked him for it due to his lack of participation in the game.Former Longhorn Parker Livingstone conducts the OU Fight Song after the Sooners shock Texas at Red River!#sooners #redriver #outx pic.twitter.com/EnYmLi1dpr— Aidan Tyler (@tyleraidan2) October 11, 2026

‘Don’t ask him how many catches he had!!’ wrote one user on X.

Another said, ‘I didn’t even know he was in uniform today. But congrats to him, I guess.’

‘When you don’t help at all with the group project but still get an A,’ joked one user.

Another remarked, ‘He didn’t even do anything to help them win.’

Livingstone left Texas after hearing of the school’s plan to aggressively recruit wideouts in the transfer portal. They acquired pass catcher Cam Coleman, the top receiver in the portal.

‘If I didn’t have an agent, I would probably still be in Austin right now,’ Livingstone said in the spring. ‘That’s the truth. It’s valuable to have an agent to figure out [your team’s] plan for you.’

Despite losing the player, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian had some extra motivation to try and get a good result, telling reporters at SEC Media Day in the summer: ‘I hope we kick his a**.’

‘It’s the Red River Rivalry, you know what I mean? He chose to go there. He’s on the other side. After the game, I’m sure I’ll give him a big hug. Before that, we’re trying to beat his a–. That’s the way it goes.’
