Kim Kardashian just proved she is in fact the cool aunt. The reality star shares a close relationship with her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s daughter, Penelope Disick, and it seems the pair even exchange fashion advice when it comes to their summer ensembles.

The SKIMS founder took to Instagram on July 30 to share a carousel of images from her recent lakeside vacation. The first photograph captured Kim and Penelope posing together on a paddleboard, with the duo both doing the peace sign with their hands.

Kim showed off her flawless figure in a black triangle bikini. The 45-year-old accessorized with a paisley bandana and a pair of oversized sunglasses. Meanwhile, Penelope looked sweet in a white bikini as she smiled for the camera.

Kim’s followers flocked to the comments section to gush over Penelope’s pretty appearance. “Gorgeous P,” wrote Penelope’s auntie, Khloe Kardashian. “Omg P so grown up,” added a social media user. “Beautiful penelope,” commented another fan.

Kourtney shares three children – Mason, Penelope, and Reign – with her ex, Scott Disick. The reality star welcomed her son Rocky with her husband Travis Barker in November 2023. Kourtney is also a stepmom to Travis Barker’s three children – son, Landon, and daughters Alabama and Atiana. The photos come after Penelope celebrated her 14th birthday on July 8. Kourtney took to Instagram to share several glimpses into her daughter’s big day. These included a box of birthday donuts and a heart-shaped pancake for Penelope to wake up to, alongside the message: “Made with love, mommy.” Kourtney also posted a picture of pink and white balloons and cowboy hats spread out across the floor.

Penelope’s grandmother, Kris Jenner, also took to social media to pen a special tribute to the 14-year-old. “Happy 14th Birthday to our precious Penelope!!! I can’t believe how quickly time has flown and what an incredible young lady you are!! You are so smart, thoughtful, creative, confident, funny, and so caring, and I couldn’t be more proud of you. And to top it off, you are beautiful inside and out!” she wrote.

“Watching you grow has been one of the greatest blessings of my life, and I treasure every moment we spend together. I can’t wait to see what exciting adventures are ahead for you. Happy birthday, P! I love you beyond measure and thank God for you every single day.”

Penelope is growing up fast – a reality her mother has struggled to face. Back in June 2025, the Kourtney took to her Instagram Story to share a photograph of herself that was taken by her daughter. The picture captured Kourtney dressed in silk leopard-print pajamas, her face buried in her hands as she appeared to be crying.

Over the top of the image, the 46-year-old penned: “Me crying bc my baby girl is done with 6th grade.”

“She’s taking pics of me,” added Kourtney.
