Britney Spears donned a completely different hair look — thanks to Hollywood’s favorite hairstylist Chris Appleton.

The iconic stylist just posted a selfie on Instagram with the iconic pop star, in which Spears is rocking lighter blonde highlights, a middle part and long, straight locks. In the picture, she’s sticking her tongue out at the camera while brandishing various hairstyling tools as Appleton posed for the camera.

“As a kid growing up in England, Britney Spears was the soundtrack to so many moments. Never in a million years did I think I’d one day be standing behind the chair (or in this case her standing behind mine, lol) styling her hair,” Appleton wrote on social media. “Some moments really do come full circle. She is not only an icon, but one of the most genuinely kind and gentle souls I’ve ever met.”

“In Chris we trust,” said “Not Skinny But Not Fat” host Amanda Hirsch.

Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian also expressed their full support for this wholesome development in the comments section.This new hair look is basically a more streamlined version of Spears’ iconic hairstyle. Appleton didn’t do anything drastic, but he seems to have worked some magic on her naturally brunette roots, as well as straightened out the tight waves the singer has been seen with more recently.

The hair expert is famous for working with a ton of A-list clients, including many of the Kardashians, Drew Barrymore, Martha Stewart, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez and many more.

Meanwhile, one of the reasons the internet is rooting so hard for the “Toxic” singer is that her fans have been quite concerned about her in recent years. Most recently, Spears made headlines when she was arrested on suspicion of a DUI.

Following the arrest, a rep for the star told BBC News, “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.”

They continued, “Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time. Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for her well-being.”

As a result of the incident, Spears checked herself into rehab for a brief stint. In early May, she revealed she is on a “spiritual journey” as part of her healing process.
