Bunnie XO exposes the sad truth about her split from Jelly Roll: ‘I was eating baby food to get by’
Bunnie XO is finally lifting the lid on just how brutal her one-sided split with Jelly Roll really was.

As In Touch previously reported, when the country singer (real name Jason DeFord), 41, and Bunnie XO (born Alisa Andrea Carter), 46, announced they were divorcing in July, they insisted they were still best friends — and still planning to welcome a baby together via surrogate.
But behind the brave faces, the breakup was anything but easy, with the Dumb Blonde podcast host initially admitting in a since-deleted June YouTube video that the divorce wasn’t mutual and that she’d begged for marriage counseling.
Opening up on Jenna Bush Hager‘s Open Book podcast on Wednesday, September 2, Bunnie confessed that the emotional toll completely wrecked her physically.
“There was moments where my team had to pick me up off the floor and give me IVs,” Bunnie admitted. “I was eating baby food to get by. I lost 20 pounds. Heartbreak, man, it’s the best freaking diet.”
Despite the private anguish, the blonde beauty is determined to hold her head high as she picks up the pieces.
“I want to show people strength; I want to show people resilience,” she shared. “Yeah, my heart was shattered, but guess what? It’s healing, and it’s coming back even stronger.”
The pair first hit it off back in 2015 after meeting at one of Jelly Roll’s Las Vegas gigs, quickly tying the knot in a whirlwind August 2016 ceremony.
Though they renewed their vows in August 2023, the marriage was plagued by underlying tension. In an explosive memoir released this year, Bunnie dropped a bombshell, confessing that the “Hands Up” singer had been unfaithful.
While she eventually chose to forgive the betrayal, she candidly admitted it took “years to actually feel like this man loved me — that I wasn’t disposable.”
Now, as the dust settles on their high-profile split, Bunnie is proving she’s ready to rebuild her life — on her own terms.
