Should the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens players opt to not play in Sunday afternoon’s game in Brazil?

The game, which is set to be played on the historic Maracana Stadium field on Sunday afternoon, has major concerns in the football and medical communities. The field appears to be in pretty rough shape.

“This field in Brazil looks like a HUGE problem… NFL, you need to set higher standards for your billion-dollar franchises and their multi-million-dollar athletes,” Dr. Jesse Morse warned on X.

“One bad move and that could be a season-ending injury. Be better.”

The game appears to be moving on as scheduled.

“On Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET, millions will see how it looks. More importantly for the NFL, it will be the third straight year with a game in Brazil. Which is important to the league’s effort to attract more global fans,” Mike Florio shared.

“Regardless of how the field looks, or how it plays.”

NFL fans, though, are urging Cowboys and Ravens players to refuse to play.

“Even FIFA..literally the most corrupt sports organization in the universe..requires teams play on real PLAYABLE grass surface! And the NFL couldn’t give a crap their teams playing on basically a Saturday morning farmer’s market parking lot,” one fan wrote.

“They need to boycott this,” one fan added.

“They’re really gonna let players get wrecked on a field worse than a construction site just so the league can sell merch in another country,” one fan added.

“There’s a point where you stop trying to make it work. If the field puts players at unnecessary risk, call it,” one fan added.

The game is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. E.T. on Sunday.
