The Kansas City Chiefs are off to a strong start this season. They visited the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium with their sights set on improving to 3-0. However, Travis Kelce’s wife, pop superstar Taylor Swift, was not in attendance as she received big news on the same day.

Swift has been a staple at Kansas City games since she dated the veteran tight end. She has also not been shy in showing emotions while inside her VIP suite whether at Arrowhead Stadium or different NFL venues.

Kelce and Kansas City are aiming to bounce back strong after missing the playoffs last year. Patrick Mahomes is showing no signs of being hampered by the ACL and LCL injuries he suffered last season. The team wants to prove that it remains a Super Bowl contender and that it has what it takes to win it all again.

Taylor Swift Wins First-Ever Artist Director Award at the VMAs

Swift was not in attendance for Kansas City’s Week 3 matchup as she won the Artist Director Award at the VMAs. The event was held at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and was hosted by Snoop Dogg. She thanked her fans, the “Swifties,” for their continuous support during her acceptance speech. The 36-year-old also received the award for Video of the Year for “The Fate of Ophelia.”Kansas City remained perfect with a 24-10 road victory. Mahomes completed 20-of-24 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns against one interception. Kelce, on the other hand, recorded two receptions for 59 yards and one touchdown. Star running back Kenneth Walker III delivered another score on the ground for the visiting team.Mahomes, Kelce and the rest of the team will return to action next Sunday when they take on Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.
