Teen Mom OG alum Farrah Abraham certainly didn’t get rich off her MTV salary. The former reality star revealed exactly how much she was paid to star on season 1 of 16 & Pregnant and its spinoff series.

“It was only $3,500 from that first one,” Farrah, 35, shared during the Tuesday, August 18, episode of the We Need To Talk podcast. “And then I think I only got $25,000 from Teen Mom.”

The single mom — who shares 17-year-old daughter Sophia with late ex-boyfriend Derek Underwood — was one of the first stars of MTV’s docuseries. She was then asked to join the spinoff Teen Mom and eventually Teen Mom OG.

According to Farrah, her MTV costars Tyler and Catelynn Baltierra were being paid more than she was, which sent her into a depression.

“Then I had Catelynn and Tyler call me … this is when I was so depressed I was like, ‘I need a boob job to make me feel better.’ So we’re doing this scene that’s on Teen Mom that’s like, ‘Oh I think I want to have a boob job,’” she recalled. “[Catelynn and Tyler] say they’re making $10,000 an episode and again I’m only making $25,000 in total.”

She added, “And I’m like, ‘OK for one, they don’t have their kid. I do. I’m doing this on my [expletive] own.’ Against all odds literally. Who’s really supporting me? No one. Then I make up [a story] and I say, ‘Oh yeah I’m actually making $15,000 an episode’ because I was so hurt.”

The My Teenage Dream Ended author claimed she “made it up out of spite, out of anger.”

Farrah was ultimately let go in the middle of season 7 after refusing to give up her career in the adult entertainment industry.

“Nobody’s here to cast judgment on anything, but if you choose to work in the adult industry, we can’t continue to film your story for Teen Mom,” executive producer Morgan J. Freeman told her during a March 2018 episode of Teen Mom OG. “This was a conversation that happened above me, without me, and has been given to me to come bring to you.”
