Chinese Nostradamus makes five chilling predictions for 2027

The man known as the “Chinese Nostradamus” is warning that five crises could collide in 2027, pushing America toward a military draft, economic collapse and even civil war.

Professor Xueqin Jiang, a Chinese-Canadian educator and former journalist based in Beijing, has built a huge online following by using history, geopolitics and current events to make predictions about where the world could be heading next.

His reputation grew after forecasts he made in 2024 appeared to anticipate Donald Trump’s return to the White House and a future war between the United States and Iran, predictions that gained considerably more attention once those events unfolded.

Now the man, known as “Chinese Nostradamus,” has now turned his attention to 2027, laying out five developments that he warns could feed into one another with increasingly dangerous consequences.

And the first would take a conflict already dominating headlines in an even more serious direction.

US troops on the ground in Iran

Jiang predicts the United States will launch a full-scale ground invasion of Iran, only to find itself trapped in a prolonged conflict with no easy route out.

“Prediction one: the ground invasion begins and it becomes a quagmire. So, the first prediction is the one that most people are already sensing, but nobody wants to say out loud,” Jiang said in a clip shared on his YouTube channel, Predictive History.

“America is going to send ground troops into Iran, a full-scale ground invasion, and it is going to become a quagmire,” he said, explaining that troops would be “stuck there for years and years.”

“If the United States were to use ground troops, then they would lose this war. it would mark the end of the American Empire…It would be a catastrophe,” he added.

Military conscription

But if the US becomes trapped in a prolonged ground war, Jiang predicts the consequences would soon reach young Americans at home, with Washington turning to a military draft to fill its ranks.

“A national draft and why Gen Z will not go. So, by 2027, the framework for a national draft should already be in place,” Jiang said.

“It is possible that legislation has already been passed. And here is the problem with the national draft,” he continued, comparing the situation to Vietnam.

He also suggested “the Republicans have many different strategies of either cheating

or manipulating the elections. If the war is going really badly, what they will do is call a national draft and cancel the elections.”

‘ICE will be far more powerful’

While war and a possible draft form the first two parts of his scenario, Jiang’s third prediction brings the tension onto American streets.

“Prediction three. And this is a prediction that will surprise most people because most people are focused on what is happening overseas. They are not paying attention to what is happening at home.” Jiang said.

“By 2027, ICE will be far more powerful than most people currently imagine, and the National Guard will be deployed to every major American city,” he said, explaining ICE is “creating conditions for a police state.”

Global economic collapse

His fourth prediction adds an economic crisis to the mix, with Jiang forecasting a global collapse capable of disrupting supply chains, driving up food prices and wiping out the savings of ordinary families.

“The global economy collapses, the just-in-time problem,” he said. “And this is a prediction that will affect every single person watching this video, regardless of where you live.”

Jiang has tied that warning to the vulnerability of modern supply chains, arguing that major disruptions could quickly spread from financial markets into the everyday goods people rely on.

‘Ingredients for civil war’

It’s his fifth prediction, however, that pulls the previous four together into his darkest scenario.

Jiang believes that by 2027 the United States could have all the conditions necessary for widespread civil conflict, although he stresses that he isn’t predicting two conventional armies fighting for control of the country.

“By 2027, all the ingredients for civil war in America should already be in place. Now I want to be very clear about what I mean by civil war. I do not mean two armies fighting each other in the streets,” he said, highlighting that “America is a country that enjoys violence.”

“That is not what modern civil conflict looks like. What it looks like is this: nationwide discontent, riots, protests, insurgencies, low-level conflict that is everywhere and nowhere simultaneously.”

Recipe for disaster

For Jiang, the danger comes not from any one prediction becoming reality, but from several crises hitting Americans at once.

“Think about what happens when all five of my predictions land at the same time: a ground invasion of Iran that is clearly failing and has no end in sight; a national draft that Gen Z is refusing; the National Guard deployed to major American cities; the global economy collapsing and food prices surging; and a market crash wiping out the savings of ordinary families.”

It paints an alarming picture of 2027, but Jiang’s forecasts remain exactly that – predictions rather than a roadmap of events certain to happen.
