Leonardo DiCaprio, who portrayed Diane’s nephew in Marvin’s Room, posted on Instagram that Diane was “one of a kind. Brilliant, funny and unapologetically herself.” He continued, “She will be deeply missed” – a sentiment shared widely throughout Hollywood.

Goldie Hawn, who appeared alongside Diane in The First Wives Club, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute: “Diane, we aren’t ready to lose you. You’ve left us with a trail of fairy dust, filled with particles of light and memories beyond imagination. How do we say goodbye?

“What words can come to mind when your heart is broken? You never liked praise, so humble, but now you can’t tell me to ‘shut up,’ honey. There was, and will be, no one like you.”

Throughout her illustrious career, Diane appeared in numerous iconic films, including Father of the Bride, The First Wives Club and The Godfather. She forged a notable creative partnership with Woody Allen, appearing in eight of his movies between 1972 and 1993.
