Kelly Krauskopf has come out in defense of Stephanie White, with the team president offering their full support to the Indiana Fever head coach.

On Tuesday, the Fever produced a convincing performance to beat the New York Liberty 106-92, a game in which Caitlin Clark starred for Indiana with a 22-point, 10-assist double-double. However, the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse was marred before tip-off, as Fever fans booed White when she was introduced, likely a backlash to the Indiana head coach’s decision not to call out the Chicago Sky’s DiJonai Carrington for a recent reckless foul on Sophie Cunningham.

Prior to the game against New York, White launched a blistering attack upon her critics, who have called for her to be fired, telling them they will not divide her team with their narratives. “We are united. We are connected. We will not be divided,” said White, who was also defended post-game by Clark.

“Every day, these women put their ass on the line. Every day, when they go low, we go high. Love will win, grace will win, humility will win and kindness will win. I stand by them. I will always stand by them.

“Everybody else can go to hell.”

The win over New York has Indiana sitting fourth in the WNBA standings with a record of 21-12. For them to miss out on the postseason, it would take an all-time collapse.

The 2026 WNBA season is White’s second in charge of the Fever, with her debut season last term seeing her guide Indiana to the postseason, where they lost in the semifinals to the Las Vegas Aces, who went on to win the WNBA title.

While she has been criticized heavily of late, she retains the confidence of the Fever’s top brass, with team president Krauskopf releasing a statement of support for the Indiana head coach.

“Coach White has done a tremendous job leading the Fever and for the second-consecutive season, has us in great position for a playoff push,” said Krauskopf

“She has kept our team focused and united, all while under the brightest spotlight our team and our league have ever experienced. She has the full support of leadership.”

Perhaps even more importantly for White, she also retains the confidence of Clark, who told reporters following the win over New York that the pre-game booing of her head coach left her feeling “a little sick” and that they won the Tuesday night contest for her.

“There was no way we were losing this game for her,” Clark told reporters.

She continued, “It’s tough. Like, that’s my head coach. I hated that our fans booed her before the game. That made me a little sick, to be honest.

“And you can disagree, and this and that and I get it, it’s professional sports, people are going to boo, but like at the end of the day, that’s our head coach, and we’re going to ride for her, and we’re always going to have her back.

“I just love her, and I feel for her because I know it can be a lot of times, and she does a great job a lot of times blocking [the noise] out. But there are other moments where it can get under your skin, and that’s just being human, and that’s just life.”
