Marta Kelly, a Brazilian content creator, has died, her husband announced on Instagram. She was 33.
“Well, folks… WE LOST THE BATTLE,” her husband and partner of 15 years, Marcus Vinicius, penned in an emotional tribute on Instagram on Aug. 18. “It’s still very difficult to write these words. I don’t think any sentence could explain the magnitude of the pain I’m feeling right now.”
Kelly maintained a following of over 500,000 across her TikTok and Instagram accounts, the latter of which has since been deactivated. The influencer and mom of three was known for sharing fashion inspiration and content about her family life.
She seemingly last updated her TikTok account on Aug. 6, sharing a series of clips from a breast augmentation consultation. “Coming soon… 👀” she wrote in the caption of her post.
It’s unclear if she decided to undergo the surgery. Her cause of death is currently unknown.
“She fought until the very last moment,” continued Vinicius in his tribute. “She fought with all the strength she had. And anyone who knew Marta knows exactly who she was: a pure-hearted person, shy, simple, with her own unique way of loving and caring for those around her.”
The grieving husband went on to remember the late internet star as his “partner in absolutely everything,” adding that their three children “had the privilege of having a mother who loved them in a way that words will never be able to explain.”
“And now begins the most difficult mission of my life: to move forward and raise our three boys the way she would have wanted. I will do everything so that they grow up knowing exactly who their mother was, how much she loved them, and how present she will be in every part of their story,” he continued. “Marta was, is, and always will be my one and only great love.”
Added Vinicius: “I still don’t know what it will be like to wake up and realize you’re not here. I don’t know what it will be like to look at our children and not have you by my side. I don’t know how I will learn to live with this longing.”
