Kai Trump moans about having to do her own cleaning as she moves into college apartment
Kai Trump jokingly lamented about having to do her own household chores as she showed off her hefty shopping haul ahead of her move into her college apartment.
The President’s granddaughter, 19, has started her freshman year at the University of Miami, where she is set to play on the women’s golf team.

However, unlike most students, Kai will not be living in the dorms. Instead, she will be moving into her first apartment, something she revealed in a vlog posted to her YouTube channel this week.
But living on your own comes with a whole list of household chores, something that the teenager did not seem too thrilled about.
In the video, she and her mom, Vanessa Trump, were seen shopping at Target to get supplies for her new apartment. Some of her younger siblings also joined in on the family fun.
As they strolled through the aisles, Vanessa announced to the camera that Kai would have to purchase household supplies since she’ll be ‘cleaning her own apartment’ now that she’s moving out of the Palm Beach home she grew up in.
Kai joked that she was going to make her mom come do chores for her, but Vanessa wasn’t having it.
‘No, I’m calling her down, like, “Hey Mom, my bathroom’s dirty,”‘ Kai said with a laugh.
‘She is going to learn how to do that, or else it’ll just stay a mess,’ Vanessa insisted.
Aside from cleaning supplies, Kai also bought tons of new items for her new home, including bedding, an air fryer and kitchen supplies.
She also picked out everyday items like over-the-counter medications, electrolyte packets from LMNT, L’Oreal shampoo, eos Vanilla Cashmere body lotion and Epsom salts.
Other items spotted in her shopping haul included Dove deodorant, Native body wash, dry shampoo spray, a Wet Brush and CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion.
At one point, her mom added Dawn dish soap to the cart, telling the camera that Kai would need to wash her own dishes.
In response, a disgruntled Kai joked that she didn’t like shopping anymore.
During their Target trip, Kai also admitted that she hadn’t been to her apartment yet, but her mom had been and was helping get it all prepared for her arrival.
Her mom teased that it was so nice, she wanted to be the one to move into the apartment instead of Kai.
The shopping trip seemed to be quite successful, as they checked out with three shopping carts full of items to bring back to Miami.
‘I decided I’m staying home, and I’m not moving in,’ Kai joked at the end of the video, as she hauled a huge bag of bedding behind her.
‘I’m so over this,’ she said, to which Vanessa agreed that shopping for college is both ‘draining’ and ‘exhausting.’
The family’s college shopping trip comes just a few days after Kai opened up about the emotional toll that her mom’s cancer battle has taken on her.
Vanessa revealed that she was battling breast cancer back in May, and in June, she shared that she had undergone surgery and was preparing for the second stage of her medical treatment.
In a recent interview with Fox News, Kai shared new insight into how the illness has impacted their family, admitting that it’s been particularly difficult in the weeks leading up to her departure for college.
‘It was emotional, there was a lot of crying in the week leading up [to me leaving for school],’ Kai shared during the interview.
‘[Me and my mom] would just be driving and we would just start crying together,’ Kai went on.
Kai added that she was ‘very lucky’ to be able to spend so much time with mom this summer, and branded her cancer battle as a ‘blessing in disguise’ since it gave them a chance to go to treatments together.
‘I was very lucky to spend a lot of time with her over the summer, because of cancer and going to treatments with her,’ Kai shared.
‘It was a blessing in disguise, because I was able to spend extra time with her that I would normally probably spend on the golf course.
‘It was nice to spend those extra hours with her throughout the day before going to college.’
During the interview, the pro golfer also gave an update on how her mom was feeling.
‘My mom, she’s doing a lot better,’ Kai vowed. ‘Kind of after treatment, she wasn’t feeling very good … but she’s getting a lot better now.’
