Melania Trump’s senior aide has finally lifted the curtain on what the first lady has been doing behind the scenes, as she once again skipped a string of high-profile events.

Melania, whose marriage to Donald Trump has reportedly hit a troubling low, was notably absent from two major Washington occasions in recent days: Senator Lindsey Graham’s funeral on Tuesday, July 28, and the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Friday, July 24.

Her 80-year-old husband attended both events, even delivering remarks at Graham’s funeral, yet Melania was nowhere to be seen by his side. While the president paid his respects at the funeral, Melania’s aide, Marc Beckman, shed light on a project the 56-year-old former model had been dedicating her time to. This comes as Karoline Leavitt was begged not to “fearmonger” as she shared a communism warning.

Taking to his Instagram story, Marc — who was branded “delusional” by critics for lavishing praise on Melania’s recent Amazon documentary — shared an announcement that read, “U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.”

“News / First Lady Melania Trump’s Fostering the Future FYI Initiative Marks Seven Years with Major Program Enhancements. Foster Youth to Independence Program Provides Vulnerable Youth with a Pathway to Housing Stability and Self-Sufficiency,” the statement said.

“This collaboration between public housing authorities and child welfare agencies, led by HUD (GHUDGov), is critical to America as each year approximately 20,000 young people age out of foster care,” the statement continued.

“It treats housing as an investment in the next generation rather than just another governmental safety net, explained first lady Melania Trump (@flotus),” it ended.

A White House spokesperson had previously confirmed to Fox News that the first lady had a scheduling conflict that kept her from attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, reports the Irish Star.

After the attorney’s passing earlier this month, Melania released a statement honoring the veteran senator’s decades of public service. “I am saddened by the unexpected passing of Senator Graham,” she said.

Melania continued, “Lindsey devoted his life to the service of our nation, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to his duties. My deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his enduring legacy.”

At Graham’s funeral service, the president sat alongside Vice President JD Vance, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, as well as his son, Eric Trump, and his wife, Lara Trump.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky were also among the prominent figures in attendance. Melania Trump’s most recent public appearance seems to have been at the FIFA World Cup final in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 19, when she accompanied President Trump and their son Barron to the championship game.

The first lady was also spotted at Trump’s July 4 “Salute to America 250” celebration on the National Mall. She appeared alongside her husband at UFC Freedom 250 on the White House South Lawn in June, taking a ringside seat with members of the Trump family and UFC President Dana White.
