Missing child in Tulsa found dead, authorities say
Authorities confirm a child reported missing has been found dead less than two blocks from his home.

Police say 7-year-old Asher was reported missing on Thursday from his home near 45th Street North and N. Delaware Ave.
The Tulsa Fire Department says its search dog and handler were the ones who found Asher. Tulsa Police say he was found near a creek.
“Unfortunately, this is certainly not the outcome that we wanted this evening,” said Andy Little with Tulsa Fire. “We are thankful we were able to find closure for this family.”
More than 200 officers were looking for Asher after he was reported missing. They went door to door, asking neighbors if they’d seen him.
The helicopter and drones were also up searching, and several search dogs were brought in to help. Tulsa Fire had boats in the creeks nearby, and EMSA was on standby, along with the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office.
It was a difficult search because it’s a heavily wooded area.
News On 6 also saw several people in the area walking and driving around the neighborhood, looking for Asher.
“We’d like to thank all the police officers, all the firefighters and all those citizens that were out searching,” said Little.
Tulsa Fire asks that people respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.
The medical examiner will determine Asher’s cause of death, but authorities say no foul play is suspected.
A GoFundMe has been set up to support Asher’s family after his passing.
