Smaah Adam, 46, was still conscious when her son rushed to hold her after the October 27 crash in Washington state, according to court documents obtained by The Spokesman-Review.

She reassured him with the words “I’m OK” as he watched her turn pale. Her final words before she was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead were reportedly “help me.”
Police said Adam had been standing beside her minivan when a Ford Flex approached a curve, lost control and veered onto the roadside, and crushed her against the vehicle.
Her son told investigators that his mother had opened the driver’s-side door when the Ford struck her.
He ran to her and held her as she bled from the back of her head.
Adam suffered a fractured femur and pelvis, internal bleeding and head trauma before she died from her injuries.
Eli Hampshire, the alleged driver, faces charges of hit-and-run vehicular homicide and tampering with evidence.
His girlfriend, Heather Langman, was also arrested and charged with first-degree criminal assistance for allegedly helping conceal him and the vehicle.
Surveillance footage reportedly showed Hampshire getting out of the Ford Flex to inspect the damage about three minutes after the crash, according to court documents.
He allegedly drove away without stopping to help Adam.

Investigators said Hampshire and Langman hid the Ford Flex beneath a tarp and discussed abandoning it down an embankment.
They allegedly transported the vehicle in a trailer hauled by a pickup truck.
The investigation gained momentum after Spokane police asked the public to help identify a dark-colored Ford Flex believed to have been involved in the crash.
A woman who had sold the vehicle to Hampshire the day before Adam was killed recognized it and contacted authorities. She and her fiancé later called Langman and recorded their conversation for police.
“Neither one of us were driving the vehicle,” Langman allegedly said. “You can’t tell the cops anything about it.”
When the fiancé insisted they were “not taking the hit on this,” Langman allegedly suggested concealing Hampshire’s identity.
“Don’t even say who you sold it to, just say you sold it to someone … Give it a fake name for him right now,” she allegedly said.
“I don’t know who the f*** was driving the car. I just know there’s something going on with it and we’re getting rid of the car.”
The investigation also led police to a dumpster after Hampshire’s supervisor at a construction company contacted authorities.
The supervisor said Hampshire had been working on the front of his car and repeatedly visiting the dumpster.
Investigators reportedly recovered a headlamp from a 2013 black Ford Flex and a piece of chrome trim.
They also used location information obtained through a warrant for Hampshire’s phone to track the vehicle to a remote area of Stevens County.
Hampshire and Langman appeared before a judge Monday. Hampshire was ordered held on $1 million bond, while Langman’s bond was set at $25,000.
Adam was an Egyptian immigrant who worked as a chef at Feast World Kitchen, a nonprofit restaurant in Spokane.
Friends remembered her as a devoted mother whose death left six children without their mom.
“A mom of six kids, gone,” her friend Maisa Abudayha told The Spokesman-Review. She also said she wanted the driver to understand the pain Adam’s children were experiencing.
The restaurant paid tribute to Adam in a Facebook post writing, “Your beautiful smile, your kindness, your generous heart, and the love you have to everyone around you will stay with us forever.”
