A search is underway in South Carolina for a missing teenager who’s without her medication.

Kimmora Michelle Carter was publicly reported missing early Monday morning by the Lexington Police Department. The 17-year-old has not been seen since Sunday afternoon, police said at 1 a.m. in a news release.

At about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Carter left her East Main Street home, and has not returned, according to the release. That’s in a part of Lexington between South Lake Drive and Exit 58 on I-20.

There was no word if Carter was alone when she was last seen. Police did not say if Carter is considered a runaway, or if foul play is suspected in her disappearance.

The juvenile is currently in remission for cancer and does not have access to her “medications and supplements required for her appropriate level of care,” police said. It’s believed she doesn’t have her cellphone with her, according to the release.
