There’s no place like home.

An emotional Simone Biles opened up about selling her Houston-area home in a recent TikTok video, breaking down in tears as she explained her attachment to the place she says gave her “so many good memories” over the past six years.

“Today is the first day the house is going to be on the market,” Biles, 29, said as tears rolled down her face in a clip filmed before the property sold. “Why the f— am I boohoo crying? F—. This house will be on the market for the first time and I don’t know why I’m boohoo crying.”

“I was here for six years, and I feel like there were just so many good memories, so many bad memories,” she continued. “But I feel like I grew up in this house. It’s made me a real adult, so I’m gonna miss it. Ugh, I didn’t think I’d be emotional about a house.”

The Olympic gold medalist, who wore a black tank top and matching baseball cap in the clip, then panned around the empty space. She showed off the backyard, which features a pool and various rooms in the house without furniture.

“Whoever buys this house, I hope it brings you as much joy as it did for me,” she concluded with tears in her eyes.

Biles gave an update in the caption of her post, noting the home sold in a matter of days.

Biles’ 3,998-square-foot house went under contract five days after listing on Sept. 26 and closed on Oct. 15, according to the Houston Business Journal. It sold for somewhere between $1.08 million and $1.24 million, according to the Houston Association of Realtors.

In the comments section of her TikTok, Biles replied to a few followers who asked why she decided to sell her house, clarifying that this home is different from the one she recently built with her husband, Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens.

In November 2025, Biles announced the completion of her Texas mansion after a five-year design and construction process. This past May, she gave her followers a glimpse into her life at the custom-built abode.

In the pictures, Biles and Owens enjoyed a relaxing day by the pool. In one snap, the famed gymnast showed off her bathing suit in a mirror. The home’s dining area, complete with a massive chandelier, can be seen behind her.

Biles shared that the design alone first started in 2020, taking over “a year to complete.” After waiting “a while” for approvals from the Homeowners Association (HOA), she was able to break ground at the site in February 2022.

After almost three years of construction, the home was finally finished on Nov. 11, 2025, she previously shared.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in May 2025, Biles explained how she and Owens were both involved in the process, saying, “I think we’ve done a good collab of what we wanted our house to look like.” She also noted at the time that she was hoping they’d be able to “move in soon,” though they had some setbacks.

Biles and Owens tied the knot in April 2023. The couple first met on the dating app Raya in March 2020 and got engaged in February 2022.

“The house sold in 4 days 😭. I was so excited to put in air fresheners for the potential buyers & showing Jonathan the last look. I just cried instead… anyone else? #emotionallyattached,” she wrote.
