Near Donetsk, Ukrainian forces hit a site used by Russian units to store, prepare and launch attack drones, the General Staff said.

“Striking such facilities is one of the priority areas of combat operations for Ukraine’s Defense Forces,” the military said.

The General Staff did not specify the extent of the damage, and the reported strikes could not be independently verified.

Ukraine targets Russian radar network in Zaporizhzhya Oblast

Ukrainian forces also struck two Russian radar systems in occupied Zaporizhzhya Oblast.

A 35N6 Kasta radar was hit near Chekhohrad, formerly Novhorodkivka, while a P-18 radar was struck near Yakymivka, according to the General Staff.

The 35N6 Kasta is a Russian mobile surveillance radar designed to detect aerial targets, including aircraft, missiles and drones flying at very low altitudes, and transmit targeting information to air-defense systems.

The P-18 is a Soviet-designed mobile VHF early-warning radar used to detect aerial targets, determine their range and azimuth, and relay information to air-defense units.

Ukrainian forces additionally struck a Russian fuel and lubricants depot near occupied Velyka Bilozerka in Zaporizhzhya Oblast, the General Staff said.

Ukraine also hit two Russian oil refineries

The attacks followed Ukrainian strikes on two Russian oil refineries on Sept. 21 and overnight into Sept. 22.

The General Staff said Ukraine struck the Bashneft-UNPZ refinery in Ufa, Bashkortostan, and the Kuibyshev refinery in Samara. Fires were recorded at both facilities.

The Bashneft-UNPZ refinery has an annual processing capacity of about 7.5 million metric tons of crude oil and produces gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, liquefied gases, sulfur and other petroleum products, according to the General Staff.

The Kuibyshev refinery can process around 7 million metric tons of crude annually and produces gasoline, diesel, fuel oil and more than 30 other petroleum products. The General Staff said products from both refineries are used to support the Russian military.

The extent of the damage to the refineries was still being assessed.
