The White House shared a clip of Donald Trump leaving New Jersey on Monday. The official Rapid Response 47 account on X showed the president walking smoothly across the tarmac to board Air Force One according to The Irish Star.

They described it as a routine Labor Day departure. However, the official footage completely skipped a highly tense moment that unfolded just seconds earlier.

Meanwhile, unedited videos circulating online paint a different picture. They show the president standing at the open door of his Marine One helicopter, gesturing wildly and pointing his finger repeatedly at someone inside the cockpit.

After about sixteen seconds of this heated exchange, he turns away sharply. He grabs the handrails and walks down the steps, completely ignoring the two marines who are standing at attention and saluting him.

The missing salute and the apparent argument quickly sparked heavy speculation online. Internet users widely shared the raw footage, pointing out that something seemed deeply wrong with his behaviour.

The X account Call to Activism posted the clip, noting that he “forgets the traditional salute to the marines right in front of him, fumbles his jacket, and walks like a zombie.”

Another user expressed serious concern about his fitness for office. “This isn’t normal presidential behavior. It’s a pattern of visible decline,” the person wrote, suggesting the Constitution offers a remedy for this exact scenario.

A third commenter pointed out the political double standard. They noted that if previous presidents had ignored a military salute while yelling at a pilot, certain news networks would be crucifying them for days.

Growing frustrations

The tense tarmac moment followed a weekend of angry rhetoric directed at America’s northern neighbour. Trade talks between the United States and Canada collapsed in late August, and the president has been lashing out ever since.

On Monday, he threatened to ban the sale of Canadian Bombardier aircraft unless the company moves its factories south of the border. He made the demand in a furious post on Truth Social.

“NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES! Their products aren’t good enough!” Trump wrote.

He claimed Canada was blocking American companies and demanded that they stop treating the country like a piggybank. The lengthy post ended with a demand to buy American products and fly on American airliners.
