Mother charged with capital murder in shooting deaths of 2 sons
In Texas, a mother is facing two counts of capital murder for allegedly shooting and killing her sons on Thursday morning.

Colleen Nichole Lemmon, 40, was booked into the Wayne McCollum Detention Center after being treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
On Thursday, Ellis County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call around 4:13 a.m. reporting an unknown emergency at a home in Waxahachie.
When deputies reached the home, they found two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Christopher Scott Pitre, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the second victim, a 15-year-old boy, was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators gathered evidence that gave them probable cause to believe Lemmon shot both of her sons, according to the sheriff’s office.
The boys’ father has been informed of their deaths.
“My deepest sympathies go out to the victims’ father, family members, and loved ones involved in this tragic incident,” Ellis County Sheriff Brad Norman said in a statement. “They will remain in our prayers during this difficult time.”
