TV host emerges as frontrunner for Karoline Leavitt’s job amid secret Susie Wiles dinner
A controversial TV host has been spotted having dinner with Susie Wiles, as it’s rumored that he’s the frontrunner for Karoline Leavitt’s job.
Scott Jennings, who is best known for being a panelist on CNN’s NewsNight with Abby Phillip, was seen enjoying a meal with White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles this weekend.

As Donald Trump was surrounded by Press Secretary hopefuls at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, Jennings hung out with Wiles at Morton’s, a local steak restaurant. It comes as Melania Trump’s true feelings about her husband’s glamorous assistants were revealed.

Last week, President Trump announced the 28-year-old will be leaving her job to focus on raising her two young children. Confirming the president’s announcement, Leavitt said, “Being a mother and welcoming a new baby while working in one of the most demanding jobs in the world has been the most rewarding yet challenging season of my life, to say the least.”The truth is since returning to the White House after the birth of my daughter, I have felt in my heart that I cannot be the best mom my two young children deserve while devoting the constant time, energy, and attention required of the White House Press Secretary — and that is why I have ultimately made the bittersweet decision to depart the White House and embark on a new chapter in my life.”
And potential candidates for her job barely took any time to put themselves forward for the role. However, it seems that Scott Jennings is Susie Wiles’ pick.
According to the Daily Mail, a source said, “It’s his if he wants it, and he does,” referencing the White House Press Secretary position. Moreover, the source claimed Jennings and Wiles met up before their Morton’s trip, even prior to Leavitt’s announcement.
The source said they reportedly “speak often,” before another slammed other potential candidates for fawning over the president, fuming, “They were all trying to get in front of him this weekend. It was like The Apprentice. It reeks of desperation.”
Jennings was asked about him potentially taking on Leavitt’s job during an episode of The Source with Kaitlan Collins, whereby the beloved host asked him, “Your name keeps getting floated, which I’m sure you’ve seen. Have you heard anything from the White House on that job opening?”
But Jennings kept his cards close to his chest, responding, “I don’t have anything to say about it. Other than, I mean, I would get to see you every day, and I would think you would be happy about this.”
However, despite Jennings appearing to be the frontrunner, President Trump allegedly wants a woman to take on the role, with Alina Habba reportedly being considered. Meanwhile, Leavitt shared a cryptic post about ‘truth’ after leaving Trump’s side.
