Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner’s Malibu house hunt could be tied to a major career move
Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner’s recent Malibu, California, house hunt suddenly makes a lot more sense because they may have set their sights on a surprising next chapter.

Let’s dial it back to August, when Page Six’s Hollywood newsletter claimed that former White House senior advisers were looking at homes by the beach. While the news did come on the heels of Jared’s brother Joshua Kushner buying the Los Angeles Lakers with former Disney CEO Bob Iger for $12.5 billion, Jared and Ivanka may have deeper California ambitions.
The duo is reportedly interested in becoming executive producers in Hollywood, according to the Daily News.
“She is bored. She wants to dress up and attend the Cannes and Venice film festivals,” a source claimed to the media outlet. Jared also has deep connections to Saudi Arabia and Qatar with his investment firm, Affinity Partners.
The two countries, along with Abu Dhabi, are also investing in the Warner Bros. merger with Paramount Pictures, so there appears to be an emerging interest in Hollywood for all parties involved. So far, Ivanka and Jared have not announced any specific projects, but their next career move continues to be whispered about.
It also appears that any feud with sister-in-law Karlie Kloss has been firmly laid to rest.
“They’re in the same family, and they spend time at family events together; they also have an overlapping social circle in Miami. They may not be best friends, but it’s wide off the mark to say they don’t get along,” a source explained to Page Six in March 2024.
Kloss and her husband Joshua also own a $29.5 million Malibu estate, so having Ivanka and Jared in the neighborhood seems to be an open opportunity for the family members to bond.
Kloss has openly discussed her political differences with the Donald Trump administration, but it seems like her stance has softened.
“It’s possible to have relationships with people who you politically don’t align with, and I think this country has always been a place for dialogue. We have to be able to talk to each other,” Kloss told Bloomberg Originals in July.
“I know who I am,” she continued. “I know the values that guide my life and the issues that I care about. So, you know, I haven’t lost sight of who I am, but also, it’s my husband’s family.”
If Hollywood is their next chapter, a Malibu home purchase could put Ivanka and Jared right in the middle of the entertainment industry.
