Sports host Katie Nolan didn’t roll out the welcome mat for her new SiriusXM coworker Boomer Esiason after the news of Audacy’s new partnership to make WFAN, which is the home of “Boomer and Gio,” available on SiriusXM.

During Wednesday’s installment of “Casuals with Katie Nolan,” a twice-weekly SiriusXM podcast, Nolan played back some of the “dumb things” that the former NFL MVP previously said on his show — and claimed that she learned of the partnership when it was announced.

“You and your arch-nemesis are going to be coworkers,” Nolan told her producer Isabella Joson. “Of course, we’re referring to Boomer Esiason. Isabella, not a huge fan.”

That’s when Nolan jokingly explained that she was rehashing Eaison’s polarizing takes because human resources wanted to make sure Joson would be able to maintain a safe workplace environment with him.

Nolan began by playing an audio clip of Esiason calling Chinese-American freestyle skier Eileen Gu “insufferable” after watching her speak at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

After that, she teed up a clip of Esiason saying Olympic athletes speaking out against ICE and the Trump administration should “pipe down” and “respect the flag.”

Nolan then played 2025 clip of Esiason laughing while suggesting that Yankees color commentator Suzyn Waldman do a Vagisil endorsement after Yankees radio voice Dave Sims did a promo for Dude Wipes.

“This is a person on-air? They allow him to have a job?” Joson said. “That’s my new coworker!”

Nolan’s last clip was a 2014 Esiason take, when he said that then- Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy should have encouraged his wife to have a scheduled C-section so he could have been available for Opening Day.

“That’s my coworker!” Joson said again with sarcasm. “I’m just offended that I wasn’t asked first if he could be my coworker. That’s all I’m saying. I hate that I’m blindsided, but whatever.”

Nolan, who also hosts a noon ET show weekdays on Mad Dog Sports Radio, said she found out “when we all found out, in the news. It’s kind of crazy, I think special accommodations should’ve been made.”

She later role-played and pretended to be Esiason introducing himself to his new SiriusXM colleagues.

Joson responded by burping into the microphone.

“Hey, Boomer, welcome to the team, big dog,” Nolan said . “Clean it up, you know? And bring your little laughing friend (co-host Gregg Giannotti).”

Esiason and Giannotti are not Sirius XM employees, but the partnership will allow their WFAN show — among 41 other local radio stations — to air on satellite radio, in addition to their usual platforms.
