Anissa is an animal control officer in Odessa, Texas, and gets a lot of calls from concerned citizens about the wildlife they find in their neighborhoods, but this one just might take the cake. A man called animal control and said there was a mountain lion in his neighbor’s tree… and it’s the smallest “mountain lion” we’ve ever seen.

The mountain lion, aka Orange Cat, made us laugh out loud when we saw it! And when Anissa threw her phone like she was giving up, we laughed again. We’re sure she gets a lot of misidentifications from people, but this one from a man who wasn’t drinking or on drugs has to be one of her all-time favorites!

Viewers Are Losing It Over the ‘Mountain Lion’s’ True Identity

Viewers left more than 7k comments, and some of them were just as funny as the mountain lion in Anissa’s video. @Sip and See Travel shared a picture of an Orange Cat and said, “I, too, have a mountain lion living in my backyard…”

@Baddie_Jay shared a photo of a real mountain lion in a tree and said, “The mountain lion on my call.” @Premier Pets shared a photo of their Parrot and joked, “Lol, I own a pterodactyl!”

Commenter @chaosandstrawberries said of the caller, “Oh, so he’s on BOTH. LOL!!!!” Another commenter replied, “That’s why he said he wasn’t on one OR the other. It’s one AND another hahahahah!”

This Orange Cat may not be a mountain lion, but he definitely enjoyed his brief moment as the neighborhood’s most feared predator!
