Ex-Trump official spills on president’s ‘frontal lobe illness’
Former Trump administration official Ty Cobb spoke at length Saturday about what he described as President Donald Trump’s “frontal lobe illness,” the “signals” of which were evident when comparing his behavior between administrations.

“He’s always been a malignant narcissist, but that narcissism now has no frontal lobe restraints,” Cobb said, speaking to former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan in a video published Saturday by Zeteo.

Cobb served as an attorney for the first Trump administration, representing the White House during the Mueller investigation into Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding interference in the 2016 election. “The cognitive decline is real,” Cobb said bluntly.

“Certainly the country can see that as these despicable memes that he posts of [former President Barack] Obama being arrested in the Oval Office, him in a fighter plane pouring excrement over the No Kings protestors, his phrase yesterday in criticizing [Abdul] El-Sayed. The kind of things that basically have drained the dignity of the office of the president and demeaned our country around the world, those are signals of serious cognitive decline.”
Cobb continued, arguing that the president’s increasingly erratic behavior was a clear sign of what he described as a “frontal lobe illness.”
“His sundown, the fact that many of these things happen between 2 and 4 in the morning, and he falls asleep in cabinet meetings and other public appearances,” Cobb said. “All of those are indicative of frontal lobe illness.”
Trump has previously attacked Cobb as a “real loser” and “one of the worst lawyers in Washington, D.C.” He also said he “hardly knew” Cobb, who he went on to call a “whackjob.”
