Missing boy, 4, found dead next to his father
A desperate search for a missing four-year-old boy has ended in tragedy after the youngster was found dead alongside his father, just hours after authorities issued an Amber Alert amid fears for the child’s safety.
Andres ‘Harry’ Furley and his father, Caleb Furley, were found dead on Wednesday after a frantic search that began when the dad failed to return the little boy to his mother.

The heartbreaking discovery came after investigators uncovered surveillance footage apparently showing the pair walking away from a local business, providing a crucial clue in the search for the missing child.
Authorities issued an Amber Alert on Tuesday evening after Caleb failed to appear for a scheduled handover of his son, prompting fears that the youngster had been abducted by his own father.
An arrest warrant for parental kidnapping was also issued as police raced to locate the pair.
But the search took a devastating turn on Wednesday when an investigator discovered the bodies of a man and a small child.
Police subsequently confirmed that both Caleb and Harry had been found dead.
The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear, with authorities yet to explain how either died or whether foul play is suspected.
Police follow up on reported sighting
The grim discovery follows a series of developments that led investigators to a business in Gainesville, Texas where the father and son were believed to have been spotted days earlier.
According to the Gainesville Police Department, officers received a call early on Wednesday morning from a relative of the missing father and child.
The family member informed investigators that the pair had reportedly been seen at a local business on Monday afternoon, before the Amber Alert was issued.
That information led detectives to contact the establishment, where they learned that employees had already raised concerns about a suspicious man accompanied by a young child.
The business had previously contacted police about the pair, although it was not immediately clear what had prompted employees to become suspicious.
Investigation remains active
Officers went to that location following the initial report but were unable to find either the adult or the youngster.
With no significant breakthroughs by Wednesday morning, officers then returned to the business to examine surveillance recordings in the hope of tracing the missing pair’s movements.
The footage appeared to capture a man and child matching their descriptions walking away from the premises.
Investigators continued searching the area, hoping the images might lead them to Harry – but instead it ended in heartbreak when they found both dead.
Police have not publicly identified a cause of death and have stressed the investigation remains active with a formal identification to be conducted by the medical examiner.
