An acclaimed psychiatrist has branded Bryan Kohberger an “incel,” claiming he “wanted to kill women who rejected him.”

Kohberger, 31, massacred four University of Idaho students in a brutal November 2022. The mass murderer entered the group’s shared home in Moscow as they slept, attacking them in their beds. Madison Mogen, 21, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, were all pronounced dead at the scene, with the three women suffering more than 150 injuries in total.

Netflix has recently released a documentary about the case, which delves into what happened that night, while hearing testimony from the victims’ friends and family, including Xana’s dad, who was planning on staying at the house the night she was killed.

Incredibly brave Xana was awake during the ambush and fought for her life as she was stabbed 67 times, which is more than the other three victims combined.

She was also found with 25 defensive wounds, with the autopsy saying, “Serration of the injuries on her face could be caused by Kernodle fighting and/or holding/touching the knife and/or hand that is holding the knife.”

Moreover, Xana was found with blood on the bottom of her feet, proving she got out of bed and was moving across the floor, attempting to escape or fight back.

In Xana’s room was her boyfriend, Ethan, who suffered 17 stab wounds. He had very few defensive wounds, and forensic evidence indicates he was caught by surprise and killed while still in bed.

Additionally, Kaylee was stabbed 38 times, with Moscow’s police chief noting how she also tried to resist. She suffered a broken nose and a knocked-out tooth during the assault, indicating a physical struggle or blunt-force trauma to her face.

Lying in bed next to her was Madison, who was stabbed 28 times. The blood-pattern evidence shows she likely never stood up or made it out of bed after the attack began.

It’s often been noted how the female victims suffered more violence than Ethan, with many assuming Kohberger’s original targets were the women in the house.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror US, Dr. Carole Lieberman, M.D., M.P.H., a Forensic Psychiatrist, Body Language Expert, and Columnist for “Inside the Criminal Mind in Front Page Detectives,” shared that she believes Kohberger is an incel.

An incel is an involuntary celibate person who cannot find a romantic or sexual partner, blames women and society for this problem, and often harbors fierce hostility towards them.

“Kohberger was an Incel – as I revealed before he was even arrested – that the killer would be an Incel,” Dr. Lieberman explained.

“So, he was constantly battling demons that were making him want to kill women who rejected him, or who he anticipated would reject him – like Kaylee and Maddy, and like the first girl who rejected him in middle school,” she continued.

Dr. Lieberman also pointed to Kohberger’s diary entries during which he said, “I am stuck in this void of nothing, feeling completely no emotion,” as well as “I have to constantly battle my demons.”

According to the acclaimed expert, this points to the mass killer being a “psychopath,” as she told us, “His feeling void of emotion speaks to his being a psychopath – and also explains his lack of remorse.”
