Ray J, 45, rushed to hospital after suffering medical emergency during livestream marathon
Ray J was rushed to hospital after suffering a medical emergency on Thursday.

The Sexy Can I singer, 45, had been hosting a high-profile livestream marathon on Kick when he experienced the health issues, per TMZ.
In video obtained by the outlet, paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department were on the scene and attaching medical equipment to Ray J’s bare chest as he lay on a couch in the studio.
TMZ reported that it ‘sound[ed] like there was a problem with his heart.’
Moments later, the emergency services crew assisted the seemingly feeble star as he walked towards a gurney.
Ray J, who previously revealed he was on eight medications, was wearing a red baseball cap in reverse and had by then pulled on a white hoodie.
Very gently, Ray J climbed on the gurney and was hoisted into the ambulance.
His mother, Sonja Norwood, was also observed hovering around her son, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr, and asking questions among the bustling activity.
She was heard asking a member of the production: ‘You got everything?’ She also asked paramedics if she could ride in the ambulance with her son.
‘Yes, ma’am, you can come over here,’ was the response.
‘I can’t ride in the back?’ Norwood was heard saying.
The incident was ‘strictly medical’ and ‘there was nothing unusual or suspicious going on,’ sources told TMZ.
The health crisis comes after Ray J had launched a 180-day streaming marathon from Fab Factory Studios in Los Angeles.
Dubbed the RayHab Stream-a-Thon or just simply RayHab, it featured unfiltered, in real life segments during which Ray J reportedly stayed awake for long hours.
Guest appearances included various rappers, athletes, celebrities and more including Crip Mac, DeenThe Great and Adrien Broner (AB).
Ray J had previously been hospitalized in January for pneumonia and heart pain, and again in May after his heart rate slowed following a celebrity fight, TMZ reported at the time of each incident.
In April, Ray J, who famously made a sex tape with then-girlfriend Kim Kardashian in 2007, claimed that he has slept with well over 12,000 women.
‘These are 10,000 different people. It’s at, like, 12,500 now, but I wanted to get to 11,’ he said on Funky Friday podcast.
‘I was guaranteed 10. I didn’t want to be at 9,000, and I wanted to be at 11. Then… we went to 10. Just wanted to make sure I was over.’
Podcast host Cam Newton was skeptical about the number, pointing out that at Ray J’s age, that meant ‘sleeping with a little over one and a half women a day for 30 years.’
However, the star suggested: ‘Yeah, the math is different, because when we’re on tour, we’re thinking five to 10 a day.’
He guessed that there have been around 3,500 times where he slept with ‘three or more’ partners at once.
Newton was incredulous when Ray J defended his high number, claiming he knows women who sleep with 45,000 men a year.
The podcast host argued: ‘There’s only 365 days in a year.’
When it comes to his own bedroom habits, Ray J insisted he won’t be trying to hit Wilt Chamberlain’s alleged number of 25,000.
‘I can only f*** a thousand more… I can’t do anymore,’ he said.
Meanwhile, Ray J’s ex Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner recently lost a bid to keep details of a settlement they reached with the singer a secret.
The Kardashians stars sued the R&B artist for defamation in October 2025.
They accused him of waging a decades-long campaign against them with his repeated claims that they are the subject of a federal criminal investigation into racketeering.
Ray J hit back in a countersuit which alleged the pair had violated the provisions of a settlement agreement they reached in 2023 over the sex tape.
Ray J had claimed he was paid $6 million to never speak about the sex tape but argued his former lover and her mom had violated the deal by discussing the topic on their reality show.
According to court paperwork obtained by TMZ, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge denied Kardashian and Jenner’s request to seal certain documents, including the terms of the 2023 deal because it was felt they hadn’t presented enough evidence that they would be caused harm if the specifics of the settlement were made public.
Lawyers for the reality stars argued: ‘The agreement resolved highly sensitive matters that the parties explicitly agreed to keep confidential in order to protect their families from public disclosure and respect these sensitive matters.’
Ray J had opposed the request and the judge agreed, ordering Kardashian and Jenner to file unredacted versions of the agreement.
