A former Texas high school teacher was arrested nearly one year after allegations of inappropriate relationships with students came to light.

Holly Adams, who taught at Angleton High School near Houston, has been charged with one count of tampering with evidence and two counts of purchasing or furnishing alcohol to a minor, according to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office.

Adams was arrested on Tuesday, almost a year after a student told school officials that she was having an inappropriate relationship with a former student, KTRK-TV reported. Police launched a probe into her conduct.

The student told staff that the alleged victim called him via FaceTime from a bedroom in Adams’ house over the summer vacation. The student alleged that the bed was covered in nude photos of her, KTRK-TV reported.

Adams was accused of inviting students to her home to perform chores, and she allegedly admitted to communicating with three members of the high school baseball team on the popular photo-messaging app, Snapchat.

The student also claimed that the alleged victim sent a picture of him cuddling on the couch with Adams.

So far, Adams has not been charged with having an inappropriate relationship with a student, which the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.She has, however, been indicted on two counts of furnishing alcohol to minors and one count of tampering with evidence, which is alleged to have occurred in August 2025, two days after police served a warrant at her home and seized four cell phones, 11 nude photos, and a photo book of nude images, ABC13 reported.

Adams was taken to the Brazoria County Detention Center and released on a $26,000 bond the same day. A spokesperson told Fox that she is no longer employed by the Angleton Independent School District.

The case comes amid a number of emerging stories of inappropriate student-teacher relationships. Last year, two teachers from the same school in Arizona were accused of sexual misconduct with the same teenage boy.

One of the women, Haley Beck, 27, was accused of grooming a boy, and buying him gifts, food, drugs, and alcohol, in addition to paying him more than $600, and allowing him to use her personal vehicle, according to a 200-page police report.
