Wife is ‘armed and dangerous’ fugitive on-the-run after body of cop husband was found in their home
A Massachusetts woman feared to be armed and dangerous is on the run after allegedly killing her cop husband inside their New England home, officials said.

Karen Solomon, 58, is being sought by authorities after they were called to her Worcester home and found her off-duty patrolman husband Kurt, 57, dead inside.
The Worcester Police Department shared an image of Solomon to their Facebook page seeking the help of locals in tracking her down after the call on Tuesday.
‘She is a 58-year-old white female with dark brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing pajama shorts and a tank top.
‘She was last seen on foot, walking towards Westcott Street. There is concern she may be armed.
‘Please contact the Worcester Police Department at 508-799-8606 or 911 if you see her,’ their appeal said.
At a press conference on Tuesday, Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early would not disclose how Kurt died, describing the situation as a domestic incident.
Public records seen by the Daily Mail indicated that the two were married and had lived inside the $370,000 home for a number of years.
Numerous agencies are now involved in the search for Solomon, which includes State Police, Homeland Security and the US Marshals Office.
According to WCVB, officials were seen on Tuesday searching a nearby reservoir less than a mile away from the address.
The outlet reported that officers were seen scouring the water with their guns drawn on a boat and surveyed a small island.
On Tuesday night, shortly before 11pm, officials said they would halt their search for the night and pick it back up on Wednesday morning.
It has since emerged that Solomon is the co-founder of First H.E.L.P., an organization that helps first responders with mental health challenges.
In a statement, the group said: ‘Our first concern is for the officer who lost his life, his family, his colleagues, and the Worcester law-enforcement community.’
It continued: ‘We extend our deepest condolences to all those affected by this tragedy.
‘The Board of Directors is focused on maintaining the continuity, integrity, and independence of First H.E.L.P.’s mission, programs, and services to the first-responder community and the families we serve.
‘The organization will continue its work in support of those families and the broader first-responder communities.
‘The circumstances surrounding the Worcester investigation are an active matter for law enforcement.
‘First H.E.L.P. will have no further comment on the specific circumstances of the investigation.’
The New England Police Benevolent Association said in a statement that Kurt had worked for the department for over 30 years and had two sons.
‘The New England Police Benevolent Association extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends and fellow officers of Worcester Police Officer Kurt Solomon, a 31-year veteran of the Worcester Police Department and valued member of the NEPBA family.
