A woman who accompanied a friend to a post-op doctor’s appointment was left stunned when she saw what the doctor was wearing.

Recounting the incident in a TikTok video that has drawn more than 1.5 million views, Taylor (@taylorsdiary.mp4) described the moment when a doctor entered the room wearing Meta Glasses.

To make matters worse, the procedure in question was a mastopexy—better known as a breast lift.

“Why?” Taylor began the video, throwing her hands in the air in utter exasperation. “Why, why, why are you wearing Meta Glasses in this room with a patient’s t***ies out?”

According to Taylor, she didn’t initially notice the glasses, but the realization slowly dawned on her.

“The more I stare at him, the more I’m like, ‘Those look like Meta Glasses,’” she said. “They say Ray-Bans, they’re a little thick on the sides, I think those are Meta Glasses.”

She began to adjust her position until she caught a glimpse of the camera lens.

“Target acquired,” she said. “Missile launched.”

‘Not letting up’

When the doctor asked if there were any questions, Taylor began to press him about his decision to wear the glasses, which can record an individual’s surroundings, especially in a setting where women are expected to be at least half-naked.

The doctor told Taylor that the glasses don’t record, and that he likes to see his text messages coming in without looking at his Apple Watch.

Taylor, however, was not impressed—noting that he could just wait until he got out of the room to check his texts.

“There’s no reason for you to be worried about texts when you’re in here,” she said. “So now what? Because the thing about it, I’m not letting up.”

‘Take me beyond’

The doctor further tried to reassure Taylor, telling her that the camera has a light that turns on when it records.

Taylor, however, pointed out that there are ways around that light and told the doctor he should disclose his glasses to his patients.

The doctor then further enraged Taylor by asking, “What would I even be recording?”

“Don’t piss me off because I’m already there, but you about to take me beyond,” Taylor said in the video. “Okay, what would you be recording? I’m sitting here looking at t***ies right now.

“So I say, ‘people’s b**bs?’ And then him, the nurse and the person I’m with, they all chuckle. I think they were trying to relieve the tension cause I was on his a**.”

Taylor’s friend also tried to ease the tension by saying she “just really hates Meta Glasses,” but Taylor was undeterred.

“There’s nothing to apologize for,” she said. “He needs to get grilled, because this is very weird behavior.”

The doctor’s final defense was that he has “a nine-year-old and a wife,” which Taylor instantly shredded.

“Having a wife and kids has not stopped men from being weird and violating women’s privacy like ever. Ever, ever,” she said. “Am I supposed to believe that every man with a wife and kids is a saint?

“Unfortunately, that’s not how the world works.”

Taylor closed by pointing out that if he was filming, all of his footage would go home with him at the end of the night, unlike the photos in his medical records.

“It’s different,” she said. “They need to be banned from work environments, particularly medical ones.”

Taylor is not the first person to highlight the privacy issues surrounding Meta Glasses.

They have already caused several problems—some students are using them to cheat, while experts warn that some individuals could find themselves recorded by Meta Glasses while on a date.
