American actor Tom Cruise unexpectedly won sympathy online after a video showing him comforting a woman he thought was upset went viral.

The woman shared security camera footage on TikTok showing their short but memorable interaction.

The video shows the woman sitting alone in a corner and looking at her phone. Cruise was walking down the hallway behind her, but when he noticed her crouching down, he stopped.

He gently tapped her on the shoulder and asked if she was okay, while the woman quickly looked up.

At first, the employee appeared completely shocked by the person standing in front of her.

After Cruise realized that the woman was simply scrolling on her phone, she stood up and offered him her hand.

Tom laughed at the situation, and the two waved goodbye before the actor walked away.

The woman wrote that she was in “complete shock” and could only stutter Cruise’s name after realizing who he was.

She also revealed that Cruise later walked past her again, and this time she asked him for a photo.

Cruise went viral during Digger promotion

Cruise went viral while promoting his new movie “Digger,” and the actor recently attracted attention because of his role in the film as well.

The reason is the drastic transformation he underwent to become oil tycoon and billionaire Digger Rockwell in director Alejandro González Iñárritu’s film.

Cruise had to wear a body suit and prosthetics to make himself look older.

The actor is also shown in the trailer with thinning gray hair and a noticeable Southern accent.

His new movie has attracted a lot of public interest, while the trailer received many positive comments.

“And I think we both know what it means to carry an entire career into a single moment like this. We both knew that throughout our journeys, we had never done anything even close to this.”
