Female mayor rockets through intersection way over speed limit in her Tesla – before ‘ignoring fine’
Cameras captured the disgraceful moment an Arizona mayor rocketed through an intersection in her Tesla before she allegedly ignored the attempts to fine her $334.

Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky was caught on a photo enforcement camera going 58mph in a 40mph zone on October 14 last year.
Traffic camera footage showed Borowsky, 61, speeding through the intersection just after 3pm as the traffic light was changing from yellow to red.
By the time her car actually cleared the junction, the light was fully red.
Scottsdale police mailed the mayor a citation on October 31 but she allegedly refused to acknowledge it by the December 1 deadline, The Arizona Republic reported.
Three attempts were made to deliver the citation to Borowsky’s residence between December 30 and January 21 this year.
But the contract process server never made contact with her and the citation was not served.
The case was dismissed ‘without prejudice’ on February 28, meaning the Scottsdale Municipal Court could reopen it in the future.
Under Arizona law, a city has 90 days from when a traffic citation is filed in court to formally serve the driver.
Borowsky last week denied having any knowledge about the ticket.
‘I can’t respond to something I have no idea about,’ she told the newspaper.
Borowsky, a Republican, has served as Scottsdale mayor since January 2025 after winning the city’s election in 2024.
Her campaign was heavily focused on stopping overdevelopment and apartment construction in the city.
She grew up in Scottsdale and studied at Arizona State University, before earning a law degree from St. John’s University in New York.
She went on to practice commercial litigation in Scottsdale and served on the City Council from 2008 to 2012.
Borowsky is a mom of one to daughter Savannah, who she is raising in the city.
