Kansas City Chiefs’ Allen Bailey dies at 37, Andy Reid issues statement

A former Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Allen Bailey has sadly passed away at the age of 37.

His wife found him at their Florida home, and his brother, Alford Bailey Jr., believes the cause of death was from natural causes. No official cause of death has been released at this time.

He was drafted by the Chiefs in 2011, and also played for the Atlanta Falcons.

Andy Reid, the head coach of the Chiefs, reacted to the tragic news.

“Sad news, the passing of Allen Bailey. Our hearts go out to his family. Prayers are with them. Way too young, obviously. One of my favorite players. Great kid, and just sorry to see that happen to him,” Coach Reid said (via KMBC).

No further information has been made available. We will update this post if we learn more.

Our thoughts are with Allen Bailey‘s friends, family, and loved ones during this time. RIP.
